The Austin Church of God participates in efforts to support those who are going through trials in their lives
Hill Country Community Ministries
Hill Country Community Ministries is located in Leander, TX and provides a hands on opportunity for our congregation to serve the poor and needy in our surrounding communities. We financially support HCCM as a member church so that they as an organization can better provide ways for us to know the needs of others and actively help to fill those needs. Some of the ways we are involved in serving is through regular food donations to the food pantry. Our congregation has volunteered to provide 50 cans of beans a month to help in this way. That's not a lot, but when many people and churches work together to serve others, a great work can be done. We also help by volunteering our time in the Clothes Closet and by serving as "caseworkers". We count if a joy and blessing to be apart of an organization that is devoted to serving those in need in our community. Linus Connection
Our congregation has also been involved in outreach through the Linus Connection. The mission of Linus Connection is to provide a handmade security blanket to every child who is in crisis or at-risk situation in Central Texas. For about two years some of the teens in our congregation learned how to crochet and made strips of a blanket in various colors that were then croqueted together to make a baby blanket. When it was finally finished we addressed a card of encouragement to a child to whom it would be given and delivered it to the Linus Connection.
